Lolo Patch Notes
Lolo Patch Notes — June 6 to 12, 2026
Lolo is moving toward a simple promise: see who’s around across your broader social, professional, and community graph, then turn that into a plan. This week was about making that loop safer, smoother, and more useful across web, mobile, referrals, communities, and Smart Plans.
What shipped
- Smart Plans got more capable: plan chats now handle refinements better, venue suggestions are more grounded, and messages can keep more of the planning context in one place.
- Spanish defaults and Spanish product coverage expanded: new users from Spanish-speaking countries can default into Spanish, and Spanish coverage now reaches more plan, chat, notification, and settings surfaces.
- Referral leaderboard cleanup shipped: the public referral leaderboard now focuses on converted / joined users instead of click-only activity, so referral credit is easier to understand and harder to inflate.
- Founders Circle was added as a suggested Circle: Lolo now has a clearer starting point for founder-community discovery inside the Circle system.
- Apple and account linking polish landed: Apple account linking and email sending got fixes so login / profile connection flows are more reliable.
- UGC safety tools shipped for App Review: terms acknowledgement, report and block flows, blocked-user filtering, and moderation endpoints were added to support safer public social use.
What improved
- Notifications are more native on iOS: the app added native iOS notification prompting and follow-up polish so notification enablement is less likely to stall inside the native shell.
- Profile photo flows were made safer for mobile review: camera capture paths were removed or disabled after TestFlight camera crashes, with library / upload-only profile photo flows treated as the safer path.
- Map and plan rendering got cleanup: fixes landed for pin marker flashes, plan-marker coordinate / viewport edge cases, PWA map height, iOS safe areas, and status-bar spacing.
- Friend suggestions got more deliberate: Apple ID is now treated as a high-trust account signal, friend suggestions were tightened, and known unwanted suggestions were removed from the first-run flow.
- Connect debugging improved behind the scenes: extra telemetry was added around recurring Connect exceptions so future fixes can be based on better evidence instead of guesswork.
- Profile and navigation details got smoother: the profile Home button now returns users to the map, and mobile sheet spacing was tightened around messages and planning surfaces.
Growth/community notes
- Circles are becoming a more important growth surface: Circle referral links, suggested Circles, and founder / token-community spaces point toward Lolo’s bigger community graph.
- Velvet remains the clearest token-community example: the Velvet holders Circle shows how onchain communities can become real-world communities on Lolo.
- Referral quality matters more than raw clicks: recent referral work reinforced that Lolo should reward actual joined users, not just landing-page traffic.
- World App campaign traffic is still being studied: recent traffic had meaningful connect activity, but the remaining open question is how many visitors complete new signup and activation.
- App Store work is progressing, but not done: Sign in with Apple and UGC safeguards are in place; the remaining risk is validating the native iOS profile photo path and App Review notes before resubmission confidence.
What’s next
- Finish the iOS acceptance path: verify that no crashing “Take Photo” path is reachable in native iOS profile upload, and keep the library / upload flow working cleanly.
- Keep refining Smart Plans from real use: the core build and instrumentation are live, so the next improvements should come from usage data and user feedback.
- Improve referral and campaign attribution: the next product question is the gap between Connect clicks and completed new signups / activated users.
- Make the graph denser: keep improving first friends, suggested people, X/social context, referrals, and Circles so users see relevant people nearby faster.
- Keep privacy legible: Lolo should continue to feel like “I’m around,” not live 24/7 tracking — boundary-level pings, user controls, and Ghost Mode remain central.
