Lolo Patch Notes
Lolo Patch Notes — July 11 to July 17, 2026
Lolo is like Find My Friends for your broader social, professional, and community graph. This week made the first experience more personal, conversations faster, and the path from nearby discovery to a real-world offer or plan more complete.
What shipped
- Verified Offers foundations: Lolo can now support offers that eligible World-verified people discover, claim, and redeem, with solo and group paths that connect naturally to Smart Plans. The product foundation is live; the first merchant pilots are still being prepared.
- Clearer World verification guidance: offer cards and claim screens now explain when verification is needed, lead with the action a user is trying to take, and avoid opening the World flow before the user chooses to continue.
- More personal onboarding: a new People you should know step can rank a small set of high-confidence suggestions using referral, mutual-network, contacts, and X context. New intent choices—including Find Deals—help tailor the experience without publishing private intent data.
- Onboarding replay: users can revisit onboarding guidance from Settings without erasing their profile, friends, pings, or other existing account state.
- Faster, more responsive messaging: direct and group conversations gained realtime updates, typing feedback, smoother responsive layouts, and improved image attachments.
In the product
What improved
- Offer-to-plan coordination: group offers now anchor plans to the actual venue, while solo users can go straight to directions. Venue addresses, offer images, redemption controls, and claim copy were tightened throughout the flow.
- Smart Plans place handling: named venues and tappable times are preserved more reliably, reducing the chance that a specific restaurant or meeting place is silently replaced by a generic alternative.
- Mobile conversation polish: attachment controls, assistant replies, keyboard behavior, tap feedback, and compact profile actions were refined for the native iOS shell and smaller screens.
- Account reliability: repeat native Google sign-in now resolves through the already linked account more safely instead of relying on an email match that could point to the wrong profile.
- Map and profile continuity: map avatars now link into profiles more consistently, while ongoing relevance work continues to make dense maps feel like a user’s actual network rather than a wall of unrelated people.
- Notification groundwork: Verified Offers gained public-safe deal-notification support for future pilots, while existing notification experiments remain in measurement mode rather than being presented as a broad new campaign.
Growth/community notes
- Referral and Circle links remain core: personal referral links and community-specific Circle links continue to be the bridge from existing group chats and networks into Lolo. This week’s onboarding ranking makes that context more useful after someone arrives.
- X and contacts feed better discovery: existing X and contact connections can now contribute to higher-confidence onboarding suggestions, helping users find people they already know instead of starting from an empty graph.
- VELVET remains the token-community example: the VELVET holder Circle continues to demonstrate the “onchain communities → real-world communities” direction. No new VELVET-specific release is claimed this week.
- iOS 1.0.8 remains live: its QA pass is closed, and this week’s web-side messaging, keyboard, profile, and sign-in polish continues to improve the experience inside the native shell without claiming a new App Store release.
What’s next
- Run the first Verified Offers pilots: finish partner setup, validate the claim-and-redemption experience in the real world, and learn which solo and group benefits actually bring people through the door.
- Finish privacy-safe interest filtering: complete and verify the Same interests map filter while keeping private intent values, phone data, and contact direction hidden.
- Keep improving map relevance and scale: prioritize friends, contacts, X connections, Circles, and useful graph context as maps become denser, while preserving clear manual filters and privacy-safe location boundaries.
- Open more events to Lolo: continue work toward importing external event links and calendar events into reviewable Smart Plans rather than forcing users to re-enter every detail.
Source notes
These notes were compiled from the current Lolo agent brief, open-loop updates, recent Hermes session history, and commits merged to the Lolo app repository during the last seven days. User-facing claims are limited to changes supported by those sources.
Verified Offers are described as product foundations for upcoming pilots, not as a completed merchant rollout. VELVET, referral/Circle links, iOS 1.0.8, map relevance, and external-event imports are labeled as continuing context or next steps rather than new launches. Private operational details, internal identifiers, and credentials are omitted.
